1. Survey Mode (Points)
Ideal for marking single locations.
• Click the RECORD button in the header to drop a pin at your current GPS location.
• Click anywhere on the MAP to manually place a survey point.
2. Poly Mode (Boundaries)
Used to outline areas or paths.
• Click the map to place VERTICES.
• Use UNDO to correct the last vertex.
• Once you have at least 3 points, hit FINISH to save the area.
3. Data Management
Open the DATABASE drawer at the bottom to view your collected items.
• Crosshair icon: Fly the map to that item.
• Trash icon: Permanently remove the entry.
• Export: Download your data as a timestamped GPX (for GPS devices) or GeoJSON (for GIS software).
4. GPS Data Privacy
FIELD // COLLECTOR is a "private-by-design" tool.
• No Tracking: We do not store your location on our servers.
• Local Only: Your data stays on your device (Local Storage) until you export or clear it.
• GPX Privacy: Geolocation data is only written to your local file during the export process.
